Thrush is one of the most common vaginal infections in the world.
More than 50% of women will experience thrush at least once during their lifetime.
Around 5% of women suffer from recurring vaginal thrush.
Up to 20% of women with a yeast infection have no symptoms.
Around 1/3 of women get thrush due to an antibiotic therapy.
Symptoms
Thick and white (like cottage cheese) or thin and watery discharge, usually odourless
Strong itch around the vagina and on the labia
Redness and swelling of the skin around the vagina
Soreness
Stinging feeling when urinating
Discomfort or pain during sex
