Lichen Sclerosus
With this condition you learn to count your blessings

M y boyfriend and I have been together for two years now and we're very much in love. However, up until recently our sex life was...unsatisfying. For both of us. Why? Because for most of the month I couldn't have sex.
First of all, my period lasts anywhere from 7 to 10 days. And then on top of that, as soon as my period ends I would start itching and would develop awful lumpy discharge.
After my GP diagnosed me with thrush, I read about it online but I don't feel like enough has been said about how unpleasant it is. You can't sit, you can't walk, you can't think without desperately wanting to scratch yourself and you can't really be grabbing your crotch in public all the time.
All I would want to wear are skirts with no underwear, which of course was not possible most of the time, especially with all the discharge.
Finally last month a friend recommended some natural product which helped tremendously. I felt instant relief from the first day and discharge disappeared within a couple of days. My boyfriend's happy too.
I wish there were more opportunities to talk and read about these conditions because as I was looking for a solution and all I found were articles written by doctors and no personal stories, so I am happy to have found this. Happy Every Woman Day, everyone!!
